24: The Comic Strip
Jack Bauer thought it was funny; if you know what's good for you, you will too.

Right now, people are conspiring to give Jack Bauer a hard time when it comes to saving the world, and it always seems to be people he works with. This... is the longest comic strip of his life.

24: The Comic Strip was borne from me doodling three years ago while I was sitting in a meeting at my workaday job, listening to numbers and facts and blah blah blahblahblah... and I started to sketch out Jack and Co., Day 5-- Chloe with her laptop sneering, Lynn with his hairy feet, Buchanan looking like he was ready to schedule meetings, Audrey the beanpole with her bluetooth headset, Edgar looking like a deer in the headlights, and Curtis... standing there just being Curtis.
And then I realized from reading my cohorts comments on
24addicts (woot! Represent!) that we honestly scrutinize and lambast and nitpick and theorize entirely too much about a show that suspends disbelief more than those Duke boys and their miracle suspension on the General Lee when they'd jump every gorge, ravine, canyon, riverbed and valley in Hazard County-- heck, the entire South, for that matter.
Anyways, I created this to bring a little humor into Mr. Bauer's life, and to the fans, because I'm one myself. Big time. I'm contemplating buying a pair of Chukkas just so I can run around chasing people at the top of my lungs for them to stop.

This is all in good fun, I'm not making a dime off of this (are you paying attention, FOX?), and all characters (short of surprises I bring into it) and the "24" Logo are wholly owned, managed, and whatnot by 20th Century Fox and Imagine Entertainment-- or as I like to call it, "The Opie Factory".

Please feel free to abscond any of the icons here for your journal in all their blinky goodness. More to come in weeks ahead!
Lastly, just to illustrate (well, I mean figuratively, not literally) how much we 24 fans criticize our beloved show, I present to you a discussion from one of my recent queries to my fellow "agents" from
purpledice:
from my IM:
Me: a question from the
twenty_four community: Did Jack get fitted with a cybernetic eyeball while unconcious that also acts as a webcam allowing for the Chinese to call when he has a free moment?
I don't know why, but part of 24's awesomeness, to me, is that it teeters on the edge of ridiculous and cliche without completely falling in...close, but not fully
Him: its not ridiculous... its Jack Bauer.

Silly me, I almost forgot-- I came up with this idea-- correction, fair use parody: me,
