Laundry List

Well, it ain't no peashooter!

So! How about that Renee and her death wish last week? Again, total Full Bauer on that call.
And I have a working theory--this may very well be the character that could take over the 24'verse if in fact they give Jack his out--alive, preferably.

Short and sweet, not much else really other than Jack was barely in this past ep. That'll pick up this week when he puts on those sweet sweet glasses.

...Seriously, from just seeing them in the trailer, who picked those things?! Henry Kissinger?

See you next week!

I'm assuming you're talking about the Terminator series. I never watched it, despite being an ardent fan of Summer Glau.

Initially the season has focused on Jack being dragged back in--but now with Renee having been brought in kicking and brooding and Jack having sat in a car for the better part of two episodes, it is entirely possible. Still, it's too early to call. Personally I would have picked Tony to be the perfect replacement, but given how his story ended last season it's beyond repairable for him to do so. It's fascinating that they managed to turn Renee's life on her ear so quickly in just one season--but then again, Jack had it done that way too. Tony had his drawn out over 4 seasons, mostly involving Michelle.

I think the big connection for fans is in fact the torture you described. Some entertainment writers are calling Renee's scene her "hacksaw moment", which of course immediately popped into my head--that she's willing now to go to Jack's extremes, whereas Jack seems to have this double standard on it--I can torture, but "WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO?!" when someone else does it. It's almost as if he thinks he has the exclusive on such measures.

I think you're right there. I hadn't thought about it that way, but reading that last paragraph, it fell into place.

And now I'm hopeful that Jack WILL be able to walk off into the sunset to live with his daughter and granddaughter and if it doesn't happen all my dissappointment will be brought down on YOU! ;)

Can't believe that I skipped over this one. I am a bad loyal fan.

Hardly--the fact that you replied to my Hulk illustration one minute after I posted it was pretty nutty.

Well, I was at my computer when I got your tweet about it, so I was just at the right place at the right time. :)
