I Can't Quit You

Well, don't just sit there-- click "Answer"!

I feel bad for Chloe. Jack asks so much of her to sacrifice. He better send her a huge shipment of flowers after today. That is... if he makes it to the end of today.

I tell you, it's bizarre, unnerving and disconcerting that I'm going to be forced to watch most of--if not all-- of the rest of the season on Tuesdays online now. That'll happen when you're working on a live show Monday nights.

So, let's get down to this week's ep, shall we?

Renee and Larry have their moment-- but who was she shedding a tear for-- Moss or Jack? Hmmm.
Jack's been sidelined, benched, even sent to the (deconamination) showers! Tony takes charge! That should sate the Almeida fans, eh? Too bad he got set up by that weasel Seaton at Starkwood. Is Seaton trying to save face (and his ass) realizing he's a patsy, or is he a loyal Hodges supporter to the end?

It was good to finally see Janis again, even if she was simply running updates around the office.

Aaron stays on!
...who else is worried about this? Especially with the First Daughter pulling these sophmoric backstabbing stunts.

So is Chloe out of the picture, on her way home and calling it a day?
Can Jack get back in the game?
What will become of Moss, Tony, and the FBI assault team? Shoot it out, or leave with their tail between their legs? I have to admit this PMC compound story arc is a very interesting one, and a great new angle for bad guys. Still, I can't believe Hodges has this many people working on a nerve agent on American soil so willingly, with the intent to disperse. I mean, I like my job, but if ABC wanted to suddenly use ballroom and Latin dancing to take over the country, I... wait... I guess that wouldn't be such a bad thing actually.

Finally, I have some theories where this season might end up: WARNING: EXTREME POSSIBLE SPOILER ALERTS!

1. I brought this up in a conversation months ago with a cohort: If they were going to kill Jack this season, the only logical choice to carry on the show is Tony (aka Carlos Bernard). And it would work. Fans love him almost as much as Jack, he's been through just as much hell, and with his working along Jack extensively this season, it would be a natural transition for it to occur. I know, people have said that Keifer is coming back next season-- but as Jack, or merely as an executive producer? (Do me a favor though-- don't tell me-- it'll just ruin the rest of the season if we all know Jack'll manage to save his neck.)

2. Jack manages to corner Hodges and threaten to release the toxin upon him (or actually does), forcing Hodges to fork over the as-yet unseen antidote, saving Jack's life, and bringing Hodges to justice. Or shooting him. Whichever. Either one works for me.

3. Kim returns, and just as the puma leaps to finish her once and for all (baby in arms), Jack plugs it, sending it crashing to the ground, making a nice rug in front of Jack's fireplace.

Anyways, see you tomorrow with a new planetxthecomic!

Ha! Poor Chloe.

Sorry my aim kept crapping out.... first my laptop turned itself off (?!?!) and then my aim wouldn't let me send messages. Not even April Fool's Day yet!

Haha, no problem.
Don't remind me about April Fool's Day.
Damn, I wish our boss had gone in with me to get you all back.
It would have been EPIC.

LOVED the comic. XD <3 But I really feel like Chloe seriously enjoys helping Jack so much. I think it makes her happy. *shrugs*

GAWD, I can't stand Renee. She makes me wanna shoot myself in the head. >:(

Thank you! Oh, believe me, I know she likes helping Jack-- but as Morris pointed out, she helps him too much. She's got a family now, and that really should come first.

Why no love Renee? She's really grown on me.

Plus I have such a thing for tough redheads. ^_^

Hehe! I guess so. X}

I think cuz I fear a relationship between her and Jack and I think I have a problem with Jack being in a relationship, LOL. That sounds really weird, but I guess I'm...I dunno...possessive of him? Wow, that sounds even worse. I'm gonna shut up now. :X

Because she's known him what, 10 or 12 hours now? A little too needy to be THAT invested in someone who didn't really treat her very well... just my 2¢ ...

I'm assuming you speak of Renee. Even though she's only worked with Jack over the past 14 hours, she certainly knows his reputation, much like most of her office (see the officer who spoke to Jack while they waited in the car).

She's more trying to understand why Jack does what he does, living as a maverick. She's worked for a department that has to abide by the rules, start to finish, so it's not something she's used to being around. Plus, she also knows now after seeing his scars what hell he's been through-- he's literally wearing a biography on his skin. One couldn't help but feel sorry for the man, knowing his history, right down to his very flesh.

Hee! I love the comic!! I love that her picture of Jack is with him smiling.

I'm praying there's an antidote. Praying.

Why thank you! Everyone always loves the Chibi CTU caricatures. ^_^

We're all praying. I still think though it wasn't a virus that leaked out but a cooling tank. The device looked like some sort of hokum "free energy" machine that the Mythbusters debunked.

There has got to be an antidote. Since the nerve gas has been re-engineered, there has to be a fail-safe in case something went chaotically wrong.

Like Jack.

*snicker* Puma...

Ooh, nice analogy. Clever.

I also love the cell phone pic of Jack! Ha!

1. Of course I would love this and I think it would totally work. You can only have a seasoned character take over. I don't think fans would appreciate some noob jumping in to take over. I don't think I've ever met someone who liked 24 that *didn't* like Tony. He's perfect for it.

3. I figure Kim is coming soon since Jack has "the virus." Whether it's on the back of a cougar or not remains to be seen.

Love the comic. Isn't everyone always sacrificing too much for Jack in some form or another. It's always connected to him. Michelle anyone?

EDIT: Actually, you should make an iPhone size of that pic of Jack on the phone. I'd love to have that as my background, heh. Or, oh oh oh, a Tony one!
