Man, two hours tonight huh? Looks like I might have to do two strips next week then. Yeah, I spoil you guys. ^_^

Anyways, about tonight's two-parter....

Okay, show of hands-- who thought Bill was gonna buy it when he started running around with the President's MedicAlert LiveStrong bracelet? Or when Juma had his mousefart-silenced handgun pointed at him? You know the writers were just screwing with fans with that bit.

And then Aaron gets tagged in the shoulder, but not before he Aarowned one of Juma's fellas. I really hope and pray the boys get out of this alive-- but that shot in next week's trailer with Jack looking distraught after an explosion does not bode well. Let's just hope he's feeling bad about the loss of a few press secretaries and maybe a foreign aide to Paraguay or something. I hate worrying based on the shots in the trailers which I am all-too-scrutinizing over.

Loophole of the week: apparently the security camera room guards were fast asleep when Juma's men were running up and down the White House halls. Honestly-- I'd have bought this radical plot twist if say they'd been taken out. Secondly, that panic room in the Roosevelt Room was tiny and fairly easy to crack into. I'd like to imagine there's like a pneumatic tube that 'Phoont"s the President over to say the Capitol Building or the Lincoln Memorial, and there's a security guard who tests it every morning like guys at an amusement park for rollercoasters.

Also-- anyone tired of the "terrorists get in through the relatively unguarded basement" method? Hi, writers? You did that last season. You are forbidden to pull that plot device out for another 5 years, got it?

I did love though the Chloe/Janis banter. I seem to recall a certain strip a few weeks back that covered this... But can't Chloe just stay out of trouble for more than three episodes? Cripes, I was afraid that Sean Hillinger was gonna get his meathooks into her last week.

Hmm... there's a comic in here somewhere. I'll find a few.

See you Wednesday with a new Planet X strip!

I was disappointed actually. Which surprised me.

It's no secret that I'm a Tony fan. But I also love Bill too, and Chloe. And I was very disappointed that the entire time last night, they were barely used. I mean come on, Tony is in an SUV outside the white house. It's not that I think they aren't using him enough, they aren't doing it smartly. And the more I see, the more it makes me feel like I've been duped. I fell for a gimmick. The beginning of the season had some of the best stuff for all of them in the entire series. These past few weeks though have been, meh.

Jack *can't* do everything on his own. The ratings for season 6 proved that. You have awesome characters. Use them.

Well, to be fair, Chloe can't do much now that she's being detained and probably facing criminal charges right now. Otherwise she did have a fairly heavy segment in the first half of the first hour.

Tony can't exactly storm the White House to save everyone, mostly because, well, it's surrounded right now. The thing is, they've painted him into a corner until the White House hostage arc is finished. Once Juma escapes (because they can't chase Voight around for 8 hours), Tony'll be back in the saddle, don't you fret. He's not a gimmick. I'd wager he's going to be in pretty heavy focus in the final hours, good or bad.

Let's just hope for good.

You give me hope oh purveyor of the ink.

I too totally thought Bill was going to buy it when he was running with the president's braclet. They indeed screwed with us well.

I did not know the Patomic ran under the White House. I rolled my eyes when they broke in that way, recalling Season 6 as well.

But it looks like they did this two-hour romp intentionally, to be biting our lips to see what transpires in Hour 13...

I looked it up, and the White House is about 1 mile from it. It's not completely unreasonable, but yes, a bit of a stretch. Plus apparently Juma can do a six minute mile jogging.

I'm assuming that the reason they did two hours was to make the White House siege "an event", but yes, it seems the real excitement lies in next week. Still, it certainly got fans talking as both Bill and Aaron are in mortal danger. I'd like to think that the writers learned their lesson about killing beloved characters with Day 5's blowback, but as we saw yet another get popped in the head last season, it's anyone's guess if they will.

Airborne Ranger
I was so hoping to hear Bill belting out

"I wanna be an Airborne Ranger"
"I wanna live a life of danger"

as he raced around the White House

I could be wrong, but I thought I heard something about Mary Lynn Rajskub missing 6 post-strike episodes while on maternity leave. I'm guessing that's why Chloe's been cast aside for now (and why seemingly every time she was on screen, it was basically a head-and-shoulders shot).

That makes sense-- she had her baby mid-year, so it would seem likely.

Haven't seen a comment from you in a while! Good to see you again.
